This summer we traveled further, hiked longer, and camped out more times than ever before. Our camping season started unusually early (April 3rd) and we enjoyed a record number of dry, sunny weekends. We convinced at least 27 of our closest friends to accompany us - and introduced a handful of newbies to the highs of backcountry camping.
For your viewing pleasure we've condensed the past 7 months into just 3:36 seconds. The short & sweet version for you casual day-trippers. Big thanks to Paul Simon for the tunes.

For a little bit of nostalgia, here's the season-ending montages of the previous two years. I have no idea how I'd remember all the stuff we've done without these pictures and videos. :)
The donation drive has been a success by any measure. We've raised $1326.75 - to be split between Conservation Northwest and the Washington Trails Association. My employer is going to match our donations, so now we're able to give both organizations over thirteen hundred dollars. How exciting!! A big thanks to everyone who has contributed so far. This fund raiser will end on New Years. If you are still thinking about donating and would like a book, let us know cause we only have a few copies left.
As we wrap up this year and enjoy the Holidays, we're thankful for all the opportunities we have, grateful for so many loving friends and family (... and fans!) and hopeful for all the fun and adventures that await us in the New Year. :) We'll be in Idaho for Christmas, then on to Yellowstone (with my family) for a couple days, and back in Seattle for New Year's Eve. My gift to Dusty was a week long get-away in the US Virgin Islands. We leave at the end of January! Until then we'll be thinking of stuff to post and filling our 'spare time' with rest and relaxation. Big Love!
